The following is a quick rundown of the Upper Deck benefits package, along with some benefits FAQs.
Vacation
All team members begin to accrue vacation benefits on their first day of employment with Upper Deck. After one year, you will earn 2 weeks; after four years it jumps to 3 weeks; and after eight years of play with Upper Deck, you will earn 4 weeks of vacation. Part-time employees can also accrue pro-rated benefits.
Absence with Pay
Paid absences from work protect hourly team members against temporary loss of income due to personal illness or injury or for compelling personal reasons. As an additional benefit, Upper Deck permits employees to use AWP accounts to cover time away from work to attend a school conference or school visit if the employee is the parent or guardian of the child.
Salaried members have time available in similar increments.
Holidays
Upper Deck observes the following paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We also select at least three (3) additional holidays for team members to enjoy, so you can have maximum playtime with your family and friends during the holidays.
Medical (pre-tax)
We offer a choice of two flexible and comprehensive medical plans - one through an HMO network and the other through a PPO network.
Dental (pre-tax)
Whether you choose our comprehensive dental plan with an HMO-type network or a comparable plan with a PPO-type network, your teeth will be taken care of, and both plans include orthodontics.
Vision (pre-tax)
Your eyes and the eyes of your family are covered by VSP, one of America's finest vision plans.
Domestic Partner Coverage
We provide post-tax Medical, Dental and Vision care for registered Domestic Partners as per federal regulations.
Life Insurance - AD&D
You will receive life insurance and AD&D policies equal to one and one-half times your annual base salary at no cost. You can purchase additional coverage for yourself and your family at competitive rates.
Long- and Short-Term Disability
Upper Deck provides comprehensive long-term and short-term disability coverage to all team members. Long-Term coverage is provided at no cost, while Short-Term coverage is voluntary and offered at competitive rates.
Business Travel Accident Insurance (BTA)
In the event of an accident while traveling on behalf of Upper Deck, you will be covered for $100,000.
Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)
Our EAP extends a helping hand to you and your family with confidential services provided by professional consultants at no cost to you.
Cancer Protection Program
Through one of America's most respected health insurance companies, AFLAC, we offer a Personal Cancer Protector Plan that pays benefits directly to you, regardless of any other insurance you may have.
401(k)
Upper Deck will match 50% of the first 6% of pay contributed to your 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan. You can make pre-tax contributions of up to 60% of annual base salary in compliance with the annual federal deferral maximums.
Flexible Spending Accounts (pre-tax)
With our Flexible Spending Accounts, you can set pre-tax money aside for expected out-of-pocket medical, dental, vision, or dependent care expenses.
Discretionary Bonus Program
When team members go above and beyond, they deserve to be rewarded! All Upper Deck employees are eligible for our performance-based, annual bonus program.
Tuition Reimbursement
As part of our commitment to the professional advancement of our team members, Upper Deck offers you tuition reimbursement for coursework related to your career game plan at Upper Deck.

When do my benefits become effective?
If you are a full-time or part-time team member who regularly works at least 24 hours per week, your benefits are effective on the first day of the month following 30 days of service. You must enroll for your TeamCare benefits within 30 days of your eligibility date or: (1) Wait until you have a qualifying change in family status or (2) Wait until the next annual open enrollment period, which is every October 1st.
Who can be covered under the benefit programs?
You may choose healthcare coverage for your legal spouse, registered domestic partner and/or dependent children when you are enrolled in the plan. Dependent children may be covered until age 19, or until age 25 if they are unmarried and a full-time student.
Does Upper Deck provide any benefits at no cost to its employees?
The following benefits are all provided free of charge:
- Basic Life Insurance
- Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
- Basic Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance
- Travel Accident Insurance
